AMA seeks to hire a senior-level Engineer with substantial background in NASA and aerospace system engineering life-cycle process including requirements development, system architecting, trade studies, resource and risk management, system verification, and operations design. This position is part time and will provide support to the NASA Engineering Safety Center (NESC) which is headquartered at Langley Research Center.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing system engineering support in the conduct of peer reviews, assessments, analyses, and testing for NESC assessments and technical discipline team (TDT) activities. The candidate will provide expertise in areas such as statistics, tracking and trending analysis, verification and validation, requirements and standards, systems analysis, and risk assessments.
Education and Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering
- 25+ years of professional experience in aerospace system engineering
- Ability to interface successfully with customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with managing integration of high-value aerospace systems
