AMA would like to add an experienced and motivated Project Consultant with a diverse and solid background in Project Management related to construction projects to our team in Hampton, Virginia in support of our TEAMS2 contract at NASA Langley Research Center. This will be a part-time/hourly position.
We are looking for a highly experienced individual in the area of project oversight concerning projects related to refurbishment of an existing laboratory. This effort shall provide engineering, technical support, and facilities planning consultative services. The candidate will be responsible for formulating and documenting a facilities capabilities risk mitigation plan, with monthly updates and reviews to the Project Manager. The candidate would develop action plans and assist the Project Manager in the execution and management of the risk mitigation plan. The candidate would develop technical descriptions for facilities services installation tasks that support the pimp/compressor system. As a minimum, knowledge of the cooling water, electrical and compressed air facilities services are required. The candidate would develop technical descriptions of required tasks for installation of pump/compressor systems. The candidate would participate in design reviews, review drawings, submittals and test plans. The ideal candidate would have a strong background knowledge of NASA construction and project management practices and be able to provide consultation and assistance in the management of the construction contract. Work effort will need to align with government support requirements and timeline. Travel will be required.
- Bachelor Degree in engineering or related fields.
- Knowledge and expertise in the management of construction projects.

- Ability to develop strategies for project implementation, including timelines and metrics of success.
