AMA seeks to hire a senior-level Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer with substantial background in aerospace ground testing, test infrastructure and related instrumentation and diagnostics. Additional background in conducting and supporting aerospace system technology development and/or aerospace test technology development is required. This position will support projects in our growing Huntsville office and surrounding region. The position is for a full-time employee basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including test engineering, facility and test process improvement, and conducting and supporting high speed flight phenomena research and related test technology research. Applicant should have a solid grasp of analytical and experimental techniques to develop testing systems for NASA, DOD and commercial enterprises. Previous experience should include test planning, test facility operations, test article conceptual design, instrumentation and diagnostics selection and utilization, test infrastructure and test instrumentation/diagnostics design and analysis, and system engineering including requirements development, assessment and verification. Good test and data organization skills are required to effectively present and analyze data and information with both qualitative and quantitative data and information intermixed. Effective senior-level communication will be needed to present and discuss information with a variety of customers.
Education and Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
- 20+ years of professional experience in aerospace/mechanical field
- Ability to interface successfully with customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and hardware-oriented skills required
