We would like to add a Web 2.0 Developer to our on-site team in Hampton, Virginia.
Job Description
We are looking for a strong Web 2.0 architect/designer/developer to contribute to our team. We are developing scalable applications with a rapidly growing user base. These solutions include web portals for engineering applications and video sharing sites (e.g. YouTube).
- Desire to design and create unique, leading-edge, Web 2.0 applications
- Proven track record developing highly usable, scalable, and innovative web-based applications.
- A BS degree or higher preferred, strong experience required.
- Desire to design and create a unique, leading-edge, web experience
- Demonstrate development skills across a range of technologies, including:
- Web architecture, web design, and web development
- Hosting and streaming video and audio data
- Web Services (SOAP, REST, etc.)
- Database design and development
- Server and Web Site administration and maintenance (IIS preferred)
- Skills of interest:
- AJAX, Ruby on Rails, PHP, ASP.NET, and other Web technologies
- Ruby on Rails, PHP, ASP.NET, and other Web frameworks
- AJAX, CSS, HTML/XHTML, XML/XSLT, and JavaScript
- Flex/Flash/ActionScript, Rich media design and/or production
- Operations and maintenance of large-scale web sites
- Ability to develop functional prototypes to illustrate concepts and contribute to rapid iterative product development.
- Ability to collaborate with product managers, marketing teams, designers, backend engineers, and researchers to refine the user experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
